Spain: Federation creates a CSR committee "to promote transparency and good corporate governance"

"The Royal Spanish Football Federation has created its Corporate Social Responsibility Committee, which will develop initiatives for the benefit of football fans and society in general," announced the Spanish Federation on 08/01/2019. "Its priority objectives are to promote transparency and good corporate governance, to promote equality and non-discrimination strategies, and to support an inclusive and integrating society through sport," added the RFEF.

"The Committee shall promote good governance and transparency, social action, environmental sustainability, the defence of human rights, responsible communication and other social aspects such as training and education, the promotion of non-discrimination as well as diversity and equality," said the Real Federación Española de Fútbol.

The creation of this new committee was spearheaded by Luis Manuel Rubiales Béjar, president of the Spanish Federation since May 2018.
