Handball: 2019 Men's World Championship played in Germany and Denmark from 10 to 27/01/2019

The 26^th edition of the 2019 Men's World Handball Championship takes place in Germany and Denmark from 10 to 27/01/2019. The competition, organized by the International Handball Federation (IHF), the Deutscher Handballbund (DHB) and the Danish Handball Association (DHA), brings together 24 national teams (including 13 European nations, 54%) playing in six arenas: four in Germany and two in Denmark.

The opening match pits Germany against a unified Korea team of South and North Korean players (Group A) at the Mercedes-Benz Arena (17,000 capacity) in Berlin (GER) on 10/01/2019 (18:15 CET). The group stages and the main round will be held in both host countries, then the semi-finals will be played at the Barclaycard Arena (13,000 capacity) in Hamburg (GER), while the final and third place games will be played in the Jyske Bank Boxen Hall (15,000 capacity) in Herning (DEN).
