NBA: Stephen Curry becomes a brand ambassador of Rakuten (e-commerce) from 2019

Stephen Curry, an NBA basketball player for the Golden State Warriors, has become a brand ambassador of Rakuten, a Japanese group specialised in internet services (e-commerce, finance and digital content) as part of a "multi-year agreement," according to the Japanese company on 10/01/2019.

As part of the partnership, Rakuten becomes the title sponsor of Stephen Curry's "Underrated Tour" basketball camps. This series of basketball camps is designed to highlight underrated young players who have not been selected in the basketball teams of American high schools. At the Underrated Tour, which starts in Los Angeles, California, before crossing the United States in January 2019, these young players will be supported by professional coaches and basketball players.

"This partnership expands Rakuten's investment in sports marketing as a way to continue to build and grow the brand and power key business initiatives," said the Japanese company.
