MLB: Oracle succeeds AT&T as the San Francisco Giants' ballpark naming rights holder for 2019-2038

Oracle Corporation, an American company specialised in cloud computing solutions, has obtained the naming rights to the San Francisco Giants (MLB) ballpark for 20 years, or the 2019-2038 period, on 10/01/2019. The AT&T Park will become Oracle Park under the agreement, which has been valued at over $200m (€176m) according to Bloomberg.

"The Giants' previous naming rights agreement with AT&T ran through the end of 2019. However, in preliminary renewal discussions, AT&T informed the Giants that changes to AT&T's corporate sponsorship strategy would give the Giants the opportunity to seek another naming rights partner and begin a new agreement one year early," said Oracle on 10/01/2019.

"Oracle will partner with the Giants to invest in a number of improvements to Oracle Park over the next five years, including the addition of a new state-of-the-art scoreboard and signage. The Giants and Oracle will develop a signature community outreach programme and build unique sports hospitality experiences to engage Oracle customers and members of the community," said the company based in San…
