"Let me repeat what I have been saying. I am not yet tired enough to decide that I will retire," said Joseph Blatter, President of FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association), on the 16/01/2014.

"Having said that, everything is open. I will certainly take a stand before this year's Congress," added the Swiss leader of the International Federation, on L'Équipe 21 TV channel.

The 2014 FIFA Congress will be held in Sao Paulo (BRA) on the 10 and 11/06/2014, just before the opening match (Brazil-Croatia) of the World Cup, also in Sao Paulo, on the 12/06/2014.

Since 2007, elections for the presidency of FIFA (held every four years) have been held the year following the World Cup. The next election is scheduled for 2015.
