Bundesliga: WWK (insurance), shirt sponsor and title sponsor of FC Augsburg's stadium until 2029-30

The insurance company WWK has extended as main shirt sponsor and title sponsor of FC Augsburg's (Bundesliga) stadium "until the end of the 2029-30 season," announced the club on 16/01/2019. The partnership was negotiated by Lagardère Sports Germany, the marketing agency of the Bavarian club.

The overall value of the agreement is estimated by the German media at €4.1m per year, with €1.4m for naming rights and €2.7m for the shirt sponsorship agreement. WKK obtained the naming rights of the club's stadium, which became the WWK Arena (30,660 capacity) for a 10 years period (2015-16 to 2024-25), on 01/07/2015. WWK became the shirt sponsor of FC Augsburg for three seasons (2015-2018) in April 2015. The current contract was due to expire at the end of the 2020-21 season according to the German media.
