TSG 1899 Hoffenheim - FC Bayern Munich (1-3), Matchday 18 of the 2018-19 Bundesliga season, drew an average of 6.69 million viewers in Germany on the public TV channel ZDF, on Friday 18/01/2019 (kick-off at 20:30 CET). This figure represented an audience share of 21.8% and enabled ZDF to post the best audience in the German television market for prime time on 18/01/2019.

ZDF has acquired, for the 2017-2021 cycle, three Bundesliga matches (Matchday 1, 17 and 18) per season, for free-to-air broadcast on 09/06/2016.

The other eight matches on Matchday 18 of the 2018-19 Bundesliga season, played from 19 to 20/01/2019, posted a cumulative audience of 4.3 million viewers on the channels of the pay-TV group Sky Deutschland, according to the data from the German audience measurement institutes AGF and GfK.
