Puma has succeeded fellow German brand adidas as a partner of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) and supplier of national men's, women's and youth teams under a multi-year agreement, announced the brand on 22/01/2019.

adidas was an equipment supplier of the EFA for seven years (2012-2018) with an estimated annual allocation of €500,000. Puma was an EFA partner between 1999 and 2011, during which time the men's national team won the AFCON three times (2006, 2008 and 2010).

Of the 13 nations that have already qualified (as of 24/01/2019) for the Total 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, played by 24 African teams in Egypt from 15/06 to 13/07/2019, four are equipped by Puma (Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Senegal and Egypt).
