CONMEBOL: beIN Media Group acquires TV rights for club competitions in 28 territories

The Qatari pay-TV group beIN Media Group has acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights to the CONMEBOL Libertadores, CONMEBOL Sudamericana, and Recopa Sudamericana for the 2019-2022 period (four seasons), in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and 24 MENA territories, on 24/01/2019.

beIN Sports channels will broadcast the 262 matches of the competitions each year via linear and digital channels.

These rights were acquired from FC Diez Media, a consortium between IMG and Perform Group. This consortium acquired the international media and marketing rights to CONMEBOL's club competitions for the 2019-2022 cycle on 27/09/2017.

• The CONMEBOL Libertadores 2019 group phase begins on 05/03/2019 and the first round of the CONMEBOL Sudamericana 2019 begins on 05/02/2019.
