Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) and Liverpool FC (Premier League), the finalists in the 2017-18 Champions League, are the two clubs that generated the most revenue in terms of TV rights (€251.3m) in 2017-18, according to the figures of the 2019 edition of the Football Money League, published by the UK branch of the audit and consultancy firm Deloitte, on 24/01/2019.

Real Madrid, which ranks first in the Football Money League in terms of total revenue, saw its audiovisual revenue rise by 6.1% in 2017-18 compared to 2016-17 (€236.8m). Of the 20 clubs that generated the most total revenue, Liverpool FC is the club with the largest increase in TV revenues (+€68.8m) compared to 2016-17 (€182.5m).

In this 2017-18 Deloitte top 20, six clubs saw their TV revenue decrease. Juventus is the most heavily impacted (-€33.1m), ahead of Arsenal FC (-€27.8m). These declines can be explained, for Juventus, a shorter path in the Champions League (quarter-finalists in 2017-18, versus finalist in 2016-17) and the number of Italian participants in the competition (two in 2016-17, three in 2017-18)…
