CD Leganés: club to build a multi-sport facility open to the public for €4.2m

Club Deportivo Leganés (LaLiga Santander) has signed an agreement with the municipality of Leganés (a city of approximately 185,000 inhabitants located 11km from Madrid, ESP) to build a multi-sport facility open to the public on land owned by the community on 22/01/2019. The work, costing €4.2m, will be financed entirely by the club.

"All residents of the city will be able to enjoy this 14,700m2 sports facility. CF Leganés once again demonstrates its clear commitment to the city of Leganés and will assume the cost of the investment, which could be made in September 2019. Once the work is completed, CD Leganés will assign these facilities to the municipality of Leganés, which will then become municipal facilities," said the club.

The new complex will include changing rooms, eight tennis courts, four paddle courts, a large archery hall and two multi-sports courts, one of which will be under cover. An area of 4,500m2 will not be used initially, which will allow the municipality of Leganés to have space to build a gym in the future.
