Deloitte Football Money League: Real Madrid top in terms of commercial revenue with €356m (+18.2%)

Real Madrid CF (LaLiga Santander) was the club that generated the most commercial revenue (sponsorship, merchandising and other commercial operations) in 2017-18, with a total of €356.2m, according to figures from the 2019 edition of the Football Money League, published by the UK audit and consultancy firm Deloitte on 24/01/2019. FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) with €348.7m and FC Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) with €322.6m, rank second and third respectively in terms of commercial revenue.

Real Madrid, which leads the Football Money League in terms of total revenue, saw its commercial revenue increase by 18.2% in 2017-18 compared to 2016-17 (€301.4m). Of the 20 clubs that generated the most revenue in total, Manchester City FC (Premier League) was the club that posted the most growth in commercial revenue in absolute terms (+€85.6m, or a total of €316.1m) compared to 2016-17 (€230.5m). With commercial revenues of €116.5m, Tottenham Hotspur FC (Premier League) was the club that experienced the best increase in relative value (+38.9%, or +€32.6m).
