Arsenal FC: turnover of £403.3m (-4.9%) and net profit of £56.6m in 2017-18

Arsenal FC (Premier League) recorded a turnover of £403.3m (€459.9m on 31/05/2018) in the financial year 2018 (from 01/06/2017 to 31/05/2018), down 4.9% from 2017 (£423.9m, or €485.7m), the club announced on 24/01/2019.

The decline in the north London club's revenue is mainly due to its participation in the Europa League in 2017-18, compared to qualification for the Champions League the previous season. Arsenal's audiovisual revenues, across all competitions, went from £198.6m (€227.5m) in 2017 to £180.1m (€205.4m) in 2018, a drop of 9.3%. Commercial revenues also decreased to £106.9m (€ 121.9m, -8.8%), while matchday revenues were stable at £98.9m (€112.8m, -1%).

"Player trading (£120m / €136.9m in gains from transfers in 2018) has meant that overall Arsenal has had another profitable year (net profit: +£56.6m / €64.5m), but we are very aware of the financial pressure which Europa League football places on the club.
