Lega Serie A: international broadcasters of the Serie A TIM and the Coppa Italia (2018-19)

The Lega Serie A has published a list of international broadcasters of the Serie A TIM and the Coppa Italia, for the 2018-19 season, on 28/01/2019.

The Lega Serie A allocated the international audiovisual rights for the Serie A TIM, the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana, over the 2018-2021 cycle, for a total of €371m per season, to the media and marketing rights agency IMG (global rights to the league and betting rights) and the Italian public audiovisual group RAI (broadcasts for Italian communities abroad), on 10/10/2017.

IMG, which recovered less than the amount invested following the retail sale of these rights, is claiming €50m in damages from the Italian League following RAI's broadcasting of free-to-air matches in Latin America, according to the website Sportbusiness.
