Liga: FC Barcelona would have paid € 95.1 million and not € 57 million for Neymar transfer

The transfer of Brazilian striker Neymar, from Santos (Brazilian Serie A) to FC Barcelona (Liga, ESP), during the offseason in 2013, would have actually cost € 95 million to Barça and not € 57 million as reported by the Catalan club, indicated the Madrid newspaper El Mundo, on the 20/01/2014.

FC Barcelona would have paid € 17 million to Santos FC, € 7.9 million for rights to three further young Santos players, € 9 million for the organisation of two friendly games against the Brazilian club, according to El Mundo. Barca would have also paid € 40 million to several companies owned by Neymar's family, € 8.6 million in commissions to the player's father (due to the scouting of the Brazilian international between 2011 and 2013 and payments to Brazilian charities), € 2.6 million in other agents' fees, and a signing-on bonus of € 10 million.

FC Barcelona told the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, on the 21/01/2014, that the documents produced by El Mundo were false, and that the acquisition of Neymar cost € 57 million.
