RCD Espanyol: the transfer of Chinese footballer Wu Lei reaches 350 million people in China

Media coverage linked to the transfer of Chinese player Wu Lei from Shanghai SIPG FC (CSL) to Reial Club Deportiu Espanyol de Barcelona (LaLiga Santander) reached 350 million people in China within 48 hours of the signing of the contract, according to the Spanish club, on 31/01/2019.

Wu Lei (27) has been a Chinese international since 2010 (63 caps, 15 goals). A 2018 CSL champion with Shanghai SIPG FC, the midfielder finished as top goalscorer (27 goals) and was named as the CSL's player of the season. The value of Lei's transfer to RCD Espanyol is estimated at €2m.
