2022 World Cup: FIFA and Qatar create a joint venture for the organisation of the competition

FIFA and Qatar have announced in Doha (QAT), the creation of a joint venture, "FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 LLC", for the delivery of the XXII World Cup, scheduled to take place in Qatar from 21/11 to 18/12/2022, on 05/02/2019.

"In line with the FIFA 2.0 vision and its objective to create an innovative model that streamlines the operational delivery of the FIFA World Cup, the creation of a joint venture that will be responsible for key aspects of the 2022 edition," said FIFA.

FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 LLC (Limited Liability Company) is a company of which 51% belongs to FIFA and 49% to the Qatar 2022 Local Organising Committee.

"Today we take a major step in the organisation of the biggest single-sport event in the world," said Fatma Samoura, secretary general of FIFA and one of the nine members of the management board, who met for the first time in Doha on 05/02/2019.
