Tribute to Emiliano Sala: a minute of applause in the Ligue 1 Conforama and Domino's Ligue 2

"The French Professional Football League learned with great sadness last night (on 07/02/2019) of the death of Emiliano Sala (ARG). On Matchday 24 of the Ligue 1 Conforama and Domino's Ligue 2 (from 08 to 11/02/2019), a minute of applause will be observed on the pitches before the matches begin," announced the LFP on 08/02/2019.

The Argentinian striker who transferred from FC Nantes to Cardiff City FC (Premier League) on 19/01/2019 had been missing since Monday 21/01/2019. He then boarded a small private aircraft on a flight from Nantes to Cardiff, the trace of which had been lost near the Channel Islands. The wreck of the single-engine aircraft was located at the bottom of the English Channel on 03/02/2019, with a body on board, that of Emiliano Sala, according to English police on 07/02/2019.
