UEFA - ECA: the two organizations sign a new Memorandum of Understanding that runs until 2024

Aleksander Ceferin, UEFA president, and Andrea Agnelli, ECA chairman, have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding, which runs until 2024, in Rome (ITA) on 06/02/2019.

"Building on their close cooperation over the last eleven years, the memorandum outlines the strong willingness of UEFA and ECA to continue to work together with mutual trust and clarity of objectives to ensure the well-being and stability of European football," said the two organizations in a joint statement.

"Since the agreement has been extended until after UEFA EURO 2024, the financial reward recognising the contribution of clubs to the success of UEFA national team competitions has been updated to fully include the EURO 2024 competition cycle," added UEFA and ECA. Expected payments to clubs contributing players:
• 8% of the gross revenue of the final phase of Euro 2024 with a minimum of €200m.
• 4% of the gross revenue of the Nations League (2020-21 and 2022-23), with a minimum of €40m.
