UEFA: launch of an OTT platform in June 2019 with women's and youth competitions

"UEFA will be launching its OTT platform in the next six months," announced Aleksander Ceferin president of UEFA after his re-election for a four-year term at the European Confederation's 43^rd Ordinary Congress in Rome (ITA) on 07/02/2019. Theodore Theodoridis (GRE) secretary general of UEFA referred to a launch planned for "June 2019", in comments reported by Agence France Presse (AFP).

"We are fully aware that a revolution is under way and are in the process of agreeing historic partnerships with the world's leading companies in this field," said Aleksander Ceferin.

"It will be a platform where we will broadcast women's and youth matches, as well as a wide range of content related to UEFA's history. When these rights (Champions League, Europa League, Super Cup) expire (in 2021), we will see with the clubs what are the possibilities to have live matches," said Theodore Theodoridis.
