ECA: 22^nd General Assembly to be held in Amsterdam (NED), on Monday 25/03 and Tuesday 26/03/2019

"ECA is hosting its 22^nd General Assembly on 25-26/03/2019 at the Okura Hotel in Amsterdam, Netherlands," announced the European Club Association on 12/02/2019.

"The General Assembly will be followed by a media conference with the ECA chairman Andrea Agnelli (ITA) at approximately 13:30 CET on Tuesday, 26/03/2019," added the ECA.

Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, the Qatari president of Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Conforama), was elected to the UEFA Executive Committee as ECA representative on 30/01/2019. This nomination was confirmed by the UEFA Congress in Rome (ITA) on 07/02/2019. Nasser Al-Khelaifi occupies the ECA's second seat alongside Andrea Agnelli, chairman of the ECA (and Juventus FC, Serie A TIM), and replaces Ivan Gazidis, who left Arsenal FC (Premier League) to join AC Milan (Serie A TIM).

"The members of the Executive Committee elected by the ECA cannot belong to clubs affiliated to the same Member Association," stipulates Article 21, paragraph 2 of the UEFA statutes: it was this rule that compelled the ECA to replace Ivan Gazidis.
