British car brand Vauxhall Motors will become partner of Liverpool FC (Premier League), the club announced on the 24/01/2014. The contract runs until the end of the 2015-16 season.

General Motors decided to replace Chevrolet with Vauxhall Motors - both brands belong to the American parent group - as partner of the club. The contract, signed in the summer of 2012, provides €5.6 million per year to Liverpool FC. General Motors announced on the 05/12/2013 that Chevrolet would withdraw from the European market at the end of 2015. This strategic choice explains the switch to Vauxhall Motors. The British brand acquires visibility on the advertising boards and the right to use the image of the club for their marketing campaigns in Europe.

Vauxhall Motors is celebrating the partnership by allowing fans to win a vehicle via a Facebook contest.

  • The partnership will officially start with the Arsenal-Liverpool match (Matchday 25 of the Premier League) on the 08/02/2014.
  • "We are delighted to welcome Vauxhall Motors to the LFC family," said Billy Hogan, chief commercial officer at Liverpool…
