NBA: Puma becomes an "official marketing partner" of the North American league from 2019

Puma, a German sports equipment brand, has become an "official marketing partner" of the National Basketball Association as part of a "multiyear partnership," announced the NBA on 13/02/2019.

As part of the partnership, Puma will be able to use the logos and jerseys of NBA franchises in its advertising campaigns. The German brand will also be able to use the NBA's content, such as the images of its various ambassadors in action on the courts.

"Puma reentered the basketball market in October 2018 with the launch of its first signature shoe - the Clyde Court Disrupt and recently unveiled its second basketball shoe, the Uproar Charlotte, ahead of NBA All-Star 2019 (played in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA, 15-17/02/2019). Puma plans to roll out more variations of basketball sneakers throughout 2019," added the NBA.

The German equipment manufacturer Puma relaunched a Basketball division and announced that the players, then in the NCAA and today in the NBA, Deandre Ayton (Phoenix Suns), Marvin Bagley III (Sacramento Kings) and Zhaire Smith (Philadelphia 76ers) had become ambassadors…
