LaLiga Santander: Telefonica (telecoms) partner of Atlético Madrid for 4 seasons (2019-2023)

Telefonica, a Spanish telecommunications operator and the main broadcaster of LaLiga Santander for the 2019-2022 cycle, has extended its partnership with the women's and men's teams of Club Atlético de Madrid (LaLiga Santander) for "the next four seasons" (2019-2023), announced the club on 12/02/2019. "Telefónica and Atlético de Madrid have signed a strategic agreement through which the telecommunications company will become the technology provider for our club and the Wanda Metropolitano (67,000 capacity)," said Club Atlético de Madrid.

Telefonica has the status of official supplier, the third level in the sponsorship hierarchy of the Madrid club. Movistar, a subsidiary of the Telefonica group, has been a partner of Club Atlético de Madrid since the inauguration of the Wanda Metropolitano (on 16/09/2017). This partnership aims to set up a service platform to improve the club's fan experience at the stadium.
