Puma: a turnover of €4.648bn (+17.6%) and net profit of €187.4m (+38%) for the financial year 2018

Puma, a German sports equipment manufacturer, posted a turnover of €4.648bn for the financial year 2018, up 12.4% (17.6% currency adjusted) compared to 2017, according to the brand on 14/02/2019.

Puma posted "double-digit growth in all regions and product segments," added the brand. The "Footwear" category posted €2.184bn in revenue, or 47% of the total, and "Apparel" €1.687bn (36%), but the "Running", "Training" and "Sportstyle" categories were the fastest growing sectors over the 12 months.

"In the EMEA region, sales rose by 11.4% currency adjusted to €1.8bn (+9.4% reported). The main growth drivers in the region were France, Spain, the United Kingdom as well as Russia and Turkey, which all posted double-digit sales growth. Sales in the Americas region went up by 16.9% currency adjusted to €1.612bn (+7.9% reported). Growth was particularly strong in the Asia/Pacific (APAC) region, where currency-adjusted sales rose by 28.8% (reported +24.2%)," continued Puma.
