Norwegian League to sign an agreement to connect its stadiums with Cisco and Datametrix

The NPFL (Norwegian Professional Football League) signed an agreement with Datametrix, a Norwegian company specialising in the development of communication networks, on the 21/01/2014. This partnership allows the League to implement Wi-Fi connected stadiums provided by the American company Cisco, partner of Datametrix, which will install the technology in the stadiums.

Two services will be introduced:
- Cisco Connected Stadium Wi-Fi, which will provide comprehensive coverage across a stadium to support technical applications, as well as access applications for the public.
- Mobile StadiumVision, technology for connection across various screens and mobile devices simultaneously in one stadium.

Four stadiums were identified to test solutions: Viking Stavanger Stadion (16,300 seats), Lerkendal Stadion in Rosenborg (21,600 seats), Ullevall Stadion in Oslo (25,500 seats) and Haugesund Stadion in Haugesund (8,000 seats). Eventually, all stadiums in the Norwegian elite division must be equipped with this technology.
