Real Valladolid CF: club presents José Zorrilla and training centre modernisation project (€35m)

Real Valladolid CF (LaLiga Santander) has presented its project to modernise the Estadio José Zorrilla (26,512 capacity) and its training centre, for a total estimated cost of €35m, on 06/02/2019.

Real Valladolid CF has not yet announced a date for the beginning of the stadium's renovation work, which is expected to cost around €25m and will increase its capacity to around 31,000. In order to improve the fan experience, the installation of new car parks and the elimination of the trench that surrounds the pitch are among the key elements of the project, to which the City of Valladolid and the Castilla y León region will contribute financially.

Work on the new training centre, costing €10m, will begin in June 2019, with the aim of completing it before the end of 2019. The centre will be divided into two sites: the first located near the Estadio José Zorrilla, reserved for the professional team, the reserve team and the U17 team, the second on the "Pinar de Jalón" site, which will host all teams of the club's training centre and can accommodate up to 3,000 young people.
