eSports: Bologna Fc 1909 (Serie A TIM) launches its section in partnership with eSports Academy

Bologna Fc 1909 (Serie A TIM) has launched its eSports section, indicated the club on 14/02/2019. This launch into eSports is being done in partnership with eSports Academy, a Roman company specializing in the promotion and distribution of electronic sports games.

The Italian club will compete on the FIFA 19 game with the recruitment of two players: Giacomo 'Bortowins' Bortolani and Marco 'Barba_21' Barbieri. "As part of the agreement with eSports Academy, the first Italian eSports Academy will be inaugurated in Bologna (ITA)."

The Italian club has created dedicated platforms to follow its eSports team: the section of the site bolognafc.it/esports and the Instagram account @BFC1909ESPORTS.

  • Genoa-based club UC Sampdoria (Serie A TIM Italian first division. 20 clubs. ) was the first Italian club to launch into eSports, on 23/01/2017.
    • This launch was also done in partnership with eSports Academy.
