English Football League: Shaun Harvey will leave as CEO "at the end of the 2018-19 season"

Shaun Harvey will leave his post as CEO of the English Football League "at the end of the 2018-19 season," indicated this English professional league on 18/02/2019. He was appointed on 29/07/2013 and took office on 01/10/2013.

The position was created to support Greg Clarke, chairman of the Football League, re-elected to a non-executive role on 06/06/2013. The Football League (FL) has been renamed the English Football League (EFL) since the 2016-17 season.

The English Football League counts 72 clubs divided into three divisions (24 clubs per division):
• Sky Bet Championship (second division)
• Sky Bet League One (third division)
• Sky Bet League Two (fourth division)

  • "I am happy to remain as CEO until after the play-offs, in order to conclude a number of outstanding matters we are dealing with, after which I will move on and hopefully make a positive difference elsewhere," stated Shaun Harvey to The Guardian on 18/02/2019.
