Deportivo Alavés: club to receive €3m for the management of Kagoshima United FC (J2 League)

Deportivo Alavés (LaLiga Santander) has signed an agreement with Kagoshima United FC (J2 League, Japan's second division) to manage it as part of an advisory mission, which will earn the Alavès at least €3m, according to the Spanish club on 13/02/2019. The agreement "will allow the Albiazul club to improve its turnover and the Japanese team to grow in several management areas," said Deportivo Alavès.

Deportivo Alavés and Kagoshima United - who at the time played in the Japanese third division - signed a collaboration agreement "to work with the Japanese club in the development of the first team and their youth structure," on 25/11/2018. Under the new five-year agreement between the two entities, the Basque club will be compensated (in addition to the initial €3m) according to the financial and sporting results of the Japanese club, which has just joined the second division.
