FIGC: AS Pro Piacenza 1919 (Serie C) expelled from the league after its 7-player team loses 20-0

"President Gabriele Gravina orders the revocation of the (license) affiliation of AS Pro Piacenza 1919 Srl (Lega Pro, Serie C, Group A), the minimum conditions for participation in the Serie C championship laid down by the federal system are no longer being applied (by the club)," announced the Italian Federation (FIGC) on 18/02/2019.

After several forfeits that threatened the exclusion of Pro Piacenza 1919 Srl (Emilia Romagna, ITA), who are currently facing significant financial problems, the club was only able to present seven players and no coaches for their match versus Cuneo. Among the seven players, some were not members of the club. Being down 16-0 at half-time, the club eventually lost 20-0 (see match summary below).
