Liverpool: Indonesian airline Garuda becomes sponsor of training equipment

Indonesian airline Garuda becomes the sponsor of Liverpool FC's (Premier League) training outfits, announced the club on the 27/01/2014. Garuda has been the official airline of Liverpool since September 2012, under a contract that was set to expire at the end of the 2014-15 season.

The agreement is now extended until the 30/06/2016. Garuda will be present on all the training equipment of the club from the 01/06/2014. The company maintains its visibility on Anfield’s advertising boards and will use the club’s image internationally.

Liverpool have more than 1,5 million Indonesian fans on Facebook, and nearly 90,000 followers on their Indonesian Twitter account.

  • Liverpool faced the Indonesian national team (2-0), on the 20/07/2013, in Jakarta (Indonesia) at Stadion Utama Gelora Bung Karno during their Asian tour.
