The Canadian Federation adopts a strategic plan for the development of football in 2014-2018

The CSA (Canadian Football Association) presented "Leading a Soccer Nation," a strategic plan to develop Canadian Football in 2014-2018, they announced on the 23/01/2014. This program provides four directions that will guide the decisions of the Federation during the next four years.

These strategic priorities include technical leadership, training, squad selection and management.

"The 2014-2018 Strategic Plan is based on ideas gathered from coast to coast,” said Victor Montagliani, president of the CSA and a member of the CONCACAF (Confederation of Football North America, Central America and Caribbean) Executive Committee. “It will help us build towards becoming a leading soccer nation and provides the road map to help get us there."

  • In order to get more recognition from the international football community, the Canadian Federation intends to submit a bid to host the 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup.
    • Canada hosts the next FIFA Women's World Cup from the 06/06 to the 05/07/2015.
