Liverpool FC: club brought a gross value added of £454m to its city in 2017-18 (Deloitte)

Liverpool FC (Premier League) brought gross value added of £454m (€512m on 30/06/2018) to the city of Liverpool (ENG) during the 2017-18 season, according to a report published by the audit and consulting firm Deloitte, on 21/02/2019.

The club's gross value added - which corresponds to a company's contribution to GDP growth - was even £497m (€561m) for the Liverpool region and £575m (€649m) for the UK as a whole during the 2017-18 season, when Liverpool FC played in the Champions League final (defeated to Real Madrid CF, 1-3). During this season, the club generated 4,500 FTE jobs, or 2.3% of the total for the city of Liverpool.
