UK and IRL: one LaLiga Santander game per matchday for free-to-air broadcast on ITV4

The UK private and pay-TV group ITV has acquired, for the United Kingdom and Ireland, the rights to one LaLiga Santander match per matchday "until the end of the (2018-19) season," announced ITV on 22/02/2019. A "weekly highlights programme" will also be included as part of the agreement, according to LaLiga.

The matches will be broadcast on the free-TV channel ITV4. Levante UD - Real Madrid CF (1-2) was the first match to be broadcast by the channel on Sunday 24/02/2019.

The UK pay-TV group Premier Sports also acquired LaLiga Santander broadcasting rights for the UK and Ireland from Matchday 25 of the 2018-19 season on 21/02/2019. Premier Sports broadcasts four games per matchday on Premier Sports 1 and 2 through Sky, Virgin and the OTT platform Premier Player.

In the UK, the UK OTT platform Eleven Sports (see below), Premier Sports and ITV are LaLiga Santander rights holders as of 25/02/2019.
