LaLiga: launch of a mini-programme (sub-app) on the Chinese instant messaging platform WeChat

LaLiga has become the first league in Europe to create a "mini-programme" (sub-application) on WeChat (Chinese instant messaging platform), according to the Spanish league 19/02/2019.

"The mini-programme is designed to be a central location for Chinese fans to grow their knowledge of Spanish football and share their experiences. By opening the mini-programme, WeChat users can receive current LaLiga news in Chinese, watch videos of classic LaLiga moments and access a 'LaLiga Experience' space featuring verified user images and memories from across the stadiums of LaLiga," said LaLiga.

Users of the LaLiga mini-programme on WeChat can specify their favourite LaLiga Santander team, in order to receive detailed information about the club. Competitions have also been set up, giving fans the chance to win LaLiga products.
