eSports: Twitch (streaming platform) partners with MLS for the eMLS Cup (eSports league)

Twitch, a streaming platform specialised in video games, has partnered with Major League Soccer (MLS) to broadcast the eMLS Cup, an eSports competition on the FIFA 19 video game, on 22/02/2019.

All highlights and interviews of players participating in the eMLS Cup will be featured on Twitch (owned by the e-commerce group Amazon), as part of a one-year contract beginning on 30/03/2019.

The new partnership with Twitch could also include other types of "nongaming content" from MLS teams according to the US media Bloomberg on 22/02/2019.
