Premier League: an average of £14.3m annually for main shirt sponsorship in 2018-19

The 20 Premier League clubs have a main shirt sponsor for the 2018-19 season, as of 27/02/2019. The average value of a sponsorship contract is £14.3m (€16.7m at 28/02/2019) - this average only takes into account 19 clubs, the amount paid by Visit Malaysia to Cardiff City FC has not been communicated. This average is up 7.5% compared to 2017-18 (£13.3m). Excluding the extreme values (Manchester United FC, Huddersfield Town AFC and Brighton & Hove Albion FC), the average fell by 5.6% to £13.5m (€15.7m).

The 19 Premier League clubs of which the value of the sponsorship contract is known, accumulate at least £271.7m (€317.2m) in revenue from their main shirt sponsorship contracts. This is over £6m more (+2.4%) than in 2017-18 (£265.3m).

This increase is mainly due to the revaluation of the agreement between Liverpool FC and Standard Chartered Bank (from £30m to £40m). This increase is also due to three new collaborations with sports betting operators in 2018-19, including Burnley FC's collaboration with LaBa360 (£3m per season compared to £2.5m previously from Dafabet).
