LaLiga Santander: Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts of the 20 clubs (March 2019)

The 20 clubs involved in the 2018-19 LaLiga Santander season have more than 455 million fans on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, according to data collected by News Tank Football on 01/03/2019. This total makes the LaLiga Santander the most popular European league on these three social networks, ahead of the Premier League. The Spanish league has an average of 22.8 million fans per club.

Real Madrid CF is the most popular Spanish club with over 210 million fans. The cumulative number of fans of the 2018 FIFA Club World Cup winners and FC Barcelona (second with over 198 million fans in total) represents nearly 90% of the total fans of LaLiga Santander clubs on these three social networks. Third in the standings, Club Atlético de Madrid has over 24.4 million fans.

On Instagram, FC Barcelona posted the best growth in absolute value in the Top 5 (+1.1 million followers), ahead of Juventus FC (Serie A TIM, +1 million) and Real Madrid (+700,000).
