Brazil 2014: "We will sell more than twice the amount of 2010" (Pascal Portes, Match Hospitality)

"In 2010, we sold 150,000 hospitality packages. For 2014, we will easily double that number to 300,000 packages. We will exceed $600 million (about €440 million) in sales by the end, more than twice what we sold for the World Cup in South Africa," said Pascal Portes, CEO of Match Hospitality, to NTF on the 24/01/ 2014.

Match Hospitality AG, headquartered in Zurich (Switzerland), has been managing FIFA's (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) international hospitality offers since 2009, and will do so until 2023. It is the only company authorised to sell, directly or through appointed agents, the hospitality packages of the 2014 World Cup (Brazil, from 12/06 to 13/07/2014).

"'Corporate hospitality' is a strong sector around the world, in any sport. And growth in hospitality is equivalent to the ticket office of the World Cup in general. It is this particular World Cup that is raising the extraordinary interest. (...) Private individuals constitute a growing share of our clientele, especially for this Brazilian World Cup. (...)
