eSports: AOK expands partnership and becomes sleeve sponsor of SV Werder Bremen's eSports team

AOK Bremen, a German health insurance fund, has expanded its partnership with SV Werder Bremen (Bundesliga) by becoming an official health partner and sleeve sponsor of the Werder eSPORTS team on FIFA video game (published by EA Sports) on 06/03/2019. The company headquartered in Berlin (GER) has been a partner of the German club since 05/09/2013.

AOK has the status of "partner", the fourth level in the sponsorship hierarchy of Werder Bremen. For its eSports team, AOK becomes a "co-sponsor" (second level). "The health insurance fund and SV Werder Bremen are working together to educate people on the right way to approach the topic of video games," said the club.

SV Werder Bremen launched its eSports team on the FIFA 19 video game on 24/07/2018. Wiesenhof, a German brand specialised in meats and frozen products, extended its partnership with SV Werder Bremen on the same occasion. Its grilled products brand Bruzzler has become the main shirt sponsor of Werder eSPORTS.
