The pay-TV group Sky Italia has acquired the broadcasting rights, in Italy, to the Women's World Cup 2019, on 11/03/2019. Sky Italia will broadcast all 52 matches of the competition, including 37 exclusively. This would suggest that 15 matches will be broadcast free-to-air in Italy, including games involving the Italian team.

Sky Italia also holds the broadcasting rights for the Women's Serie A for the 2018-2020 cycle.

The Italian women's national will participate in the Women's World Cup for the first time since the 1999 edition in the United States (eliminated in the group stage).

  • The 2015 Women's World Cup in Canada was broadcast by the pay-TV group Eurosport in Italy.
