City Football Group: Manchester City FC to host its third hackathon from 24 to 28/06/2019

City Football Group (CFG), a investment holding company specialised in football assets (professional clubs, eSports and infrastructure) and owner of Manchester City FC (Premier League), will hold its third hackathon (innovation competition) entitled the "City Startup Challenge" at the City Football Academy, the Manchester club's training centre, from 24 to 28/06/2019, announced the club on 04/03/2019.

"After successful Hackathons in 2016 and 2017, City Football Group is debuting a new global opportunity for startup companies to help transform the matchday experience by showcasing how they can solve five big challenges identified by City's global network of football clubs," said CFG on 04/03/2019.

"Supported by a squad of exciting collaboration partners, including Sapphire Ventures who, with City Football Group, jointly launched a first-of-its-kind $115m (€100m) sport venture fund (in January 2019) and the UK Government's Department for International Trade, City are offering a unique opportunity for startups to accelerate their growth," said CFG.
