France: TV audience share -0.3% for beIN Sports in one year, a drop that did not benefit RMC Sport

The French pay-TV channels beIN Sports 1, 2 and 3 recorded respective audience shares of 0.3%, 0.1% and 0.1% (0.5% in total) across the entire French television landscape via cable, satellite or ADSL, according to the Médiamat'Thématik report (audio-metric measurement of the television audience from the Médiamétrie Institute) for the period from 03/09/2018 to 17/02/2019, and published on 12/03/2019. The cumulative audience share of the three channels was 0.8% over the same period one year ago (from 04/09/2017 to 18/02/2018).

The pay-TV bouquet RMC Sport, which now broadcasts the Champions League in France since the beginning of the 2018-19 season instead of beIN Sports and Canal+, has not seen a benefit from the decline of Qatari pay-TV group, since the audience share of the RMC Sport 1 channel (called SFR Sport 1 before 03/07/2018) is still 0.1% and those of the other channels of the bouquet (see below) are have remained less than 0.1%.
