Spain: LaLiga launches its own voice assistant developed in collaboration with Microsoft (IT)

LaLiga has launched a voice assistant that will allow its users to obtain information on the various Spanish leagues (fixtures, results, statistics, etc.), according to the body on 13/03/2019. This new virtual assistant which uses Artificial Intelligence has been developed in collaboration with the American IT company Microsoft, technology partner of LaLiga since 30/11/2016.

"With this assistant LaLiga aims to create a new channel of communication with its fans by offering a new way of consumption and a personalised interaction with the competition. The short term objective is to continue improving the product so that in the coming months it can also offer other functionalities such as listening to LaLiga news or integration with LaLiga games," said the Spanish League.

The LaLiga virtual assistant will first be available via "the assistants of Bixby (Samsung), Google Assistant and Skype (Microsoft), and in the near future within the other main virtual assistants on the market," added the body.
