FIFA: a record revenue of $6.421bn (2015-2018) according to the Financial Report 2018 (15/03/2019)

"FIFA's revenue reached a new high of $6.421bn (€5.609bn on 31/12/2018), of which $5.357bn (€4.729bn) or 83% was delivered by the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia, the most profitable edition to date," announced the international federation in its Financial Report 2018 published on 15/03/2019.

"The FIFA Council unanimously approved the Activity Report, the Governance Report and the Financial Report - a set of three documents that summarise FIFA's achievements over the course of 2018. The reports break down the huge financial success of the 2015-2018 cycle and FIFA's strong and sustainable position to keep investing in football development in the years to come," said FIFA at the end of its Council meeting held in Miami (Florida, USA) on 15/03/2019.

"More than 81% of full-cycle investments ($4.360bn/€3.849bn) were invested across the entire football community: through substantially increased development funding for FIFA members, as well as financial contributions to all participants at Russia 2018," added the world governing body.
