FIFA: Governance Report 2018

"The 2018 World Cup's extensive compliance program in Russia has helped to increase transparency, encourage ethical behavior, identify risks, define policies, create procedures and quickly implement corrective measures," highlighted FIFA in presenting its 2018 Governance Report, unanimously adopted at the FIFA Council meeting in Miami (Florida, USA) on 15/03/2019.

"The budget for the FIFA Forward Programme will increase by $667m (+62%)for the 2019-2022 cycle, from $1.079bn up to $1.746bn," added the world football body.

"204 member federations (out of 211, or 96.7%) were the subject of a central audit in 2018, an increase of 179% compared to 2017," said FIFA in the opening of the 2018 Governance Report.
