Club Atlético de Madrid Femenino - FC Barcelona Femení (0-2, Matchday 24 of the 2018-19 Liga Femenina Iberdrola, Spanish women's first division), drew 60,739 spectators at the Wanda Metropolitano (68,000 capacity) on Sunday 17/03/2019 (kick-off at 13:00 CET), a world record attendance for a women's football game, according to the Madrid club on 17/03/2019.

Atletico Madrid had offered all its 127,471 season ticket holders free access to the match. The price of tickets for the general public was €5 and 26,912 people bought their tickets for the game, representing 44% of the total attendance.

"The Red & White fans broke the previous record, which was set 99 years ago during a match between Dick, Kerr Ladies and St. Helen's Ladies. The game was played on Boxing Day of 1920 and gathered 53,000 spectators at Goodison Park (home of Everton FC)," said Atlético de Madrid.
