Valencia CF: a community march and festivities in the city to celebrate 100 years of the club

Valencia CF (LaLiga Santander) held a community march in the streets of Valencia (Spain) to celebrate the club's centenary on Monday 18/03/2019, marking 100 years to the day that the club was founded (18/03/1919).

The march, open to all supporters of the club, began at the foot of the Estadio de Mestalla (49,677 capacity) at 09:15 (CET) and ended at 10:30 at the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, near where the "Bar Torino" was located, where the club was founded 100 years ago. The club's constitution was read, in the presence of those who participated in the march, as well as professional team players and former players of the club.

Along with around 10,000 orange flags, supporters were invited "to proudly display their VCF logos, T-shirts, scarves or flags on the exact date the club celebrates its first century of life," said Valencia CF, who added that "the streets and squares of the city shall be more Valencian than ever on this special and unrepeatable day."
