Premier League: Manchester United negotiate their 2015-16 contract with several equipment companies

German sports equipment companies Adidas and Puma and the American company Warrior are negotiating to become the official supplier of Manchester United (Premier League) from 2015-16, announced the British newspapers The Times and The Guardian on the 29/01/2014.

Nike, which has supplied the English club since the 2002-03 season, will see its contract end at the conclusion of the 2014-15 season. The American brand pays €31.5 million per year. Nike failed to reach an agreement with the club during the exclusive renegotiation period in 2013.

Adidas, Puma and Warrior would be willing to pay €85 million per year, according to the British press. This would represent a record for a football club. The current largest supplier contract binds Real Madrid (Liga BBVA) to the German brand Adidas for an amount of €38 million per year until the end of the 2019-20 season.
